Cartier Watches - Pure Class
Cartier watch is recognized worldwide as a symbol of elegance and luxury. Known for its intricate designs and excellent craftsmanship, this watch was also a symbol of opulence. Due to it's delicate artistry, the watches are sometimes worn simply as ornamental accessories.
The founding member of this company was Louis-Francois Cartier and he started out as a jeweler to expert craftmans Adolphe Picard. Following Picard's death, Cartier acquired his master's business and thus, the Cartier company was born.
Cartier's son and eventually grandsons joined the business and helped establish Cartier as a brand name. After consolidating their name as creators of exquisite watches in Paris, their products became popular in other parts of Europe. It was not long before they added American customers to their list of clientele.
Cartier watches used to target nobles and the upper-classes in Paris and thus it comes as no surprise that these products were famous for their extravagant designs. After all, Louis Cartier was once called "The jeweler of Kings, the King amongst jewelers". The company has always maintained their high standards while keeping an eye on the changing fashion trends. And thus, various Cartier watches reflect a comfortable blend of these two features.
There was the "Santos" model, named after the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto-Santos Dumont. Classy and chic for its time, this model promoted the wristwatches as an integral part of all aspects of life. The "Tank" was inspired by the vehicles used in Europe during the First World War. It was meant to be a durable watch that still retained a touch of class and luxury.
