The Hamilton Watch Company came into being in 1892 when the Keystone Watch Standard Company was acquired by a group of Lancaster businessmen. The aim of the company was to create "America's Finest Watch - snd this was the legacy of this brand name.

From its inception in the late 19th Century, it was setting up a high standard for its peers.
